Protective spray for Otter or Fish Traps?

Hello All,

I have a old otter lodge that has seen better days, but it still keeps working just fine. I was wondering if I could spray the fabric with anything to help repel water more? Like tent fabric spray or something? Also, has anyone ever seem sealed their otter or trap?

99% of the time is is fine, but I have been out in a heavy snowstorm or even rain and it will start to drip on your head near the seams when it is really coming down. Not horrible, but I do like to take care of my stuff, so it might be time to treat the fabric with something...

Thanks

Swill

Is your fabric leaking, or is it condensation? I get the condensation problem in really cold weather. Sometimes it seems like it is raining in there until the heat dries it up.

If you have leaks, perhaps the Camp Dry (made by Kiwi)product will work. Read the label on the can and make sure you'll do no harm. My can says it is ok for tents. I like that stuff on some of my leather boots, does a good job, but has a rather strong odor when you apply it.
