Circle hooks and tip up fishing?

Just wondering if anyone has used circle hooks for tip up fishing or ice fishing in general. What was your experience etc. Going to try it this year, seems like it would work?.

they are the only hooks i put on my tip-ups anymore, they work great and they allow to give the fish more time and not be worried aboot gut hooking them, just make sure not to set the hook with them or you will lose the fish.

I use them all the time on my tip-ups. I mainly use Gamakatsu size 2 or 4 with a 16" leader of 8 pound fireline ice. works great and easy to take the fish off always in the corner of there mouths
