Hello,,,I live on the LOW here. This year I am ice-fishing. Can anyone tell me where on the LOW are those large perch being caught? And what kind of baits do you use? And what kind of rods & test line do you use. Also love those Walleyes...Awaiting your replies. And Thank-You, for your time...

mr fishfry, Let me first say "WELCOME TO FISHING MINNESOTA." You couldn't of joined a better site to learn and grow in our wonderful sport of ice-fishing.

I haven't fished LOW for perch, but do hit the Dakotas for em' each year. My favorite presentation is fishing a Custom's Jigs and Spins Demon or a Northland Frostee loaded with maggies. If that doesn't work, I will try a flashy spoon (Kastmaster or a small Northland buckshot spoon) with a piece of minnow head. I typically reach for maggies 1st as I've had tremedous sucess with them.

Do take advantage of the regional forums on the site. Because you are specially talking about LOW, we have a link devoted to LOW. That is a very active forum and some of the seasoned anglers might be willing to point you in the right direction.

Good Luck! smile.gif
