Pheasants

Recommended Posts

Havent been out myself...for years unfortunately, but from what I hear, it has been excellant. If you get this way, more towards the NE part of the state, holler, I can hook you up with some great areas. Dont forget about the fishing, either. Going Wednesday, will post on the results.

PS, not my huskers by any means, but they arent too darn bad, at least in comparison. Theyll go bowling at least.

There are a lot of WMA'S (Wildlife Mngt Areas) around Norfolk. I think most landowners are pretty receptive. Depends where you go. You are not in the true pheasant belt around Norfolk, so it's not like people have to pay to play like you do in South Dakota, or even in many areas in the northeast part of the state.

the numbers are bes in the south central and Northeast part of the state. Around Lincoln go south into Gage Co. and the Numbers are pretty good. We have a walk in program called CRP-MAP which pays farmers to open there CRP land for walkin hunting. You can go the G&P HSOforum and look up each county and where the land is located. Pretty good hunting, especially later in the year when all of the softies pack it up.
