does anyone know some good spots for big cats around the mankato area.im new to the catfishin im used to the walleyes and muskies any help would be great thanks

I fish in the Mankato area a lot for cats; try from shore in Sibley park where the Blue Earth and MN rivers meet. There also are spots along the Judson Bottom road where you can park and fish the MN river. Otherwise the St. Peter boat landing is a good spot too! Good Luck!

Hey Flathead, How much rain fell in Mankato do you know?

Big Eye...Check out the Blue Earth River too. Theres some nice ones in there if you do a little searching.

Mankato received about 2 inches of rain from Monday night to Wednesday morning. The river is up 2 feet. Should start going back down now. I haven't been out for a week and don't know if the cats are biting or not. We caught a 20# & 13# last Wednesday night-last time I was out. Good luck.
