Salmo Zipper on ice?

Anyone use the new Salmo Zipper lipless vertically yet? I've had repeated success with the Chubby Darter, I'm wondering what the action is like on the Zipper, thinking of ice jigging with it, but tend to balk at the price for a lure experiment... alternative is to just pick up another Darter. The Darters have such a smooth, hypnotic action, I'd be surprised if Salmo could top it.

At times the Zipper can be deadly through the ice! It was "Backwater Eddy" that introduced me to this super little lure two years ago. He said that they were deadly when walleye were aggressively feeding and that a lure that offered a little noise via the rattle could make all the difference....he was absolutely right-on the money! As most of you know, the Red River's fall Geenback run was awesome this year. On occasion I played around with a variety of presentations including the Zipper and it served me well, no surprise!

Now that the hard water season is in view, you can bet that I'll will be wetting a Zipper from time to time!

Try one you won't be disappointed! wink.gif
