I made the ice auger carrier a couple of years ago and it has worked perfectly. I don't know how to weld so I made it out of uni-strut. It's not in the pictures but I ratchet strap the otter ice shield to the carrier and I have never had an issue with the auger falling out. It works good when I carry my vexilar in my backpack and my ice rods are in a case that I put on my handlebars. I can move real quick without even using the house. The people behind me say they see my brake light so thats a good sign. I pull an otter magnum fish house and I really love the setup. It alsobeats having to leave the auger laying on the ice when you're done drilling.

And the other bonus is you can modify it slightly to use it as a cherry picker to pull an engine out of your truck. wink.gif

J/K Looks good! I think you could lighten up on some of the materials used and still have a rock solid carrier, but if the materials are there, use them! A small shelf off the back to strap a couple of buckets too would be nice now that the back is pretty much used up, too. Any Snow up there yet?
