Deer transportation ????

If I go and register my deer where I hunt and we butcher them there and usually process them there, if I want to bring some meat back with me to process on my own, do I need a seperate transportation tag for that? Do I need to bring the hide/head with me that the meat is from? how does that work?

I just got a response from the DNR regarding this they say,

"As long as it has been registered and you keep the liecense, registration and possession tags with the processed meat, you do not need the head or hide." I am still confused, so if I want to bring meat back home I can? Anyone else ever do this, if so what have you done in the past?

Yep, just keep the possession and registration tags, you are good to go.
