Lake Sharpe Report - Pierre ( Not Oahe)

Just got back from 3 beautiful days of fishing, even though it was very windy on Friday.

Fished below the dam all 3 days. They were not letting much water through the dam and the first 2 days, the water level went down as they were pulling water into Francis Case.

3 boats, 9 guys. Thursday, 1 keeper walleye. Friday, 7 keeper walleye. Today, 2 boats, 6 guys, 14 keepers. Two people in the boat I was in and we got out limit today.

Everything was caught either on a spinner or plain hook with a minnow.

Well at least you got into a few on the latter part of the trip. Did you try jigs/minnows. That's what we've been picking a lot of fish up on lately.

Sounds like a fun trip!! I grew up in Pierre. Lived there for 10 years starting when I was in kindergarten until the middle of my freshman year of high school. Spent many many hours on the river in that area. Talk about an awesome walleye fishery in its prime.

Tyler, did try the jig/minnow thing, but things just went clicking with jigs. It was weird, because that's how I love catching walleyes.

Did talk to a older guy at the boat ramp that caught a few pulling jigs against the waves/current.
