Hunting Boots

How do you guys clean/de-oderize your hunting boots?

It seems my boots have a "smell" ever since I was stuck in some mud/gunk. I have tried to spray them with scent killer but it only seems to work for a little bit.

They are leather bottoms with cordra style uppers. They have 1000 grams of thinsulate. Can you wash and dry them at home? SHould I spray them with a mixture of no scent soap and water and let them dry?

have you tried scrubbing them with baking soda? I know some of the guys I hunt with use baking soda, unscented shampoo, mixed together to get out smells from their boots...I don't know if it works or not, but might be worth a try

Try storing them stuffed with wadded up newspaper. Store the insoles outside the boot.
