Frozen pot holes?

Just curious if your favorite pot holes are beginning to freeze over? I was hoping to do some pot hole jumping this weekend but not sure if all of the small ponds will be froze over.

Some of them have been froze over, but it does not stay very long. By mid-morning, it starts to open up again.

I was out this morning there was a thin layer of ice but buy the time I had the decoys set I had busted up enough around the edge. 30 minutes later I picked up my limit of Gadwalls and headed for the truck.

Things around here have been freezing over at night and opening back up during the day.

Get out early and break some ice on one of these potholes. If there are ducks around, they should love to see some open water with some fellow ducks (your dekes) to sit with.
