Using a scent dripper?

Recommended Posts

I have had a lot of luck bringing in deer to mock scrapes for trail camera purposes, but never hunting. They are all at night for the most part, or little guys in the day. Have any of you had luck with MATURE bucks using a scent dripper?

I bought one and im wondering where to put it, how soon, does hunting after rain or snow seem better? Just wondering if others have had some luck?

I put up two scrape drippers about 3 weeks ago so the sooner the better I'd say. The bucks are already interested in the does so get out and make yourself a mock scrape and hang that bad boy over it! I've got some deer coming to my mock scrapes and I've also had a real scrape that is about 15 yards from my mock get ripped up along with some trees getting shredded. Last week I was on my way out to hunt by my mock scrapes and I called my friend on the way and he said I should have been there an hour ago. Seems there was a 10 pointer there checking my mock out at 2:30 in the afternoon. mad.gif Just like everything else timing is everything!
