Miltona info.

i am heading up to miltona for the first time this weekend. anybody have any general info they care to share? is there any weeds (if there still alive), rocks or any lure color that may work. not looking for spots just some general info.

I would fish the sand flats.

and the Mid-Lake humps, with a good GPS and mapcard you can find the humps, very productive all season. There are some true pigs in Miltona. Good Luck

We headed up to Lake Shamineau instead on Saturday. I had one hit a Cowgirl 15' from the boat, set the hook, she flew out of the water with it, thrashed, hook flew one way, she jumped back in without it. 10 mins after that, same lure, I had a little backlash I was working out while battling the wind and began to reel in the Cowgirl, full of weeds and muck and here is a mid 40's muskie following it up. I figure 8-er for a while but she just wouldn't hit. I couldn't believe it followed it up. How'd you do on Miltona? We haven't fished it much lately because we haven't had much luck up there since 4th of July...fishing Lobster a lot more.
