Looking for a new ice auger (need help)

Anyone,

I am going to buy a new ice auger this fall,

I am interested in the 8" Nils Master or the

4 stroke strike master....

I see in the adds that the strike master is 25 lbs.

Can anyone tell me the weight of the Nils Master?

or any pros or cons on either one?

I am thinking about a new auger this year as well. I have the Lazer Mag and it works just fine. I think I am going with the electric for my new one. Everything I have read says the Nils has tighter specs. But I think a 4 stroke will be better in the long run. I don't know what weight difference would be but I can't see it is enough to make a difference in your decision. Keep an open mind regarding the electric auger. I heard it will last all day. No gas to spill in the portable, no gas on your hands that touches the bait. No matter what you do, you will make a good choice.

Horay i can tell you 2 things about augers there too expensive for what you get and the don't float worth Sh%&. Friend of mine was drilling on the canadian side in the NW angle and the ice was thin and he punched right through and dropped the auger. There is some very scary ice up there.
