Dogwoods

I have noticed that many dogwoods do not have berries and those that do - the amount of berries is significantly reduced. I suspect the drought has reduced the dogwood berry crop.

This has been my traditional "spot" the first two weeks of the season. Finding grouse, but am having to look in new spots.

Anyone else notice the lack of dogwood berries in the areas you grouse hunt?

That's funny. I've noticed just the opposite. In my spots Gray Dogwood is going crazy this year. I've never seen it thicker.

For anyone who doesn't know, this is Gray Dogwood. If you find big patches of dogwood, you're probably going to find grouse.
