mjhowe
This is advance notice that we have been approved by FWP for a 3 event ice fishing series this (next) year! Last years inaugural Perch Assault event at Lower Stillwater Lake was such a success we have expanded it to a series! The first weekend in Jan, Feb and March will see us on Lower Stillwater Lake, Lake Mary Ronan and Middle Thompson lake. Last years winning team took home almost $1100 for a $50 entry fee! Our hope is to partner with Ice Leaders in the coming year or 2 and include one of these events in the ICE series! I will have more information soon, but make your plans to be in NW MT the first weekends in Jan, Feb and Mar! Email me if you would like a flyer and entry form mailed to you. Jeff Dosch
Hi mike, Sounds like a great event but when are you going to have time to make it back to Devils Lake. I think once you see some of the crappies we caught last year you might want to make a couple of trips to D.L. I would love to make it to one of your tournaments but my schedule in the winter is usually very full. I hope to see you back again this winter.Have a good fall!Jeff DoschDoschs Guide Service
mjhowe
Hi Jeff! Well it may not be this year, but it wont be long till I get back to DL. You know, we have some great fishing in these parts, but there is something about fishing those "classic waters" like DL, Winnie, LOW etc, that just adds another dimenesion when fishing them. You guys that fish those waters probably dont experience that much, but for me, man it makes it worth the added money and time. I just hope that now that I am in the tournament business, I still have time to fish

mjhowe
Well, tomorrow is the big day!!! We had the rules meeting tonite and we have 61 teams signed up and vying for a total purse of $3660 dollars. A little less than the cap of 75 teams, but the majority are signed up for the 3 events...We have great ice conditions and a storm system moving in tonite and tomorrow morning. Should have a good impact on the bite.$800 in the big fish pot...Perhaps a new state record perch can be caught and take that pot and contribute to winning the $1100 first place prize...With 122 eager perch anglers poised to hit the ice in less than 12 hours, I am as eager as a kid at christmas!Stay tuned for results and if you want in, our next event is Feb 3rd at Middle Thompson Lake in NW Montana, between Libby and Kalispell.
