i'm looking for some help. looking for a good jerky recipe and method of making so i can surprise my in-laws. i have to use beef, cuz i don't hunt. any help would be great!!! thnaks

If you'd rather use the boughten stuff, go to Walmart and get your self some american harvest jerky mix, usually found in the area that the coffee makers and so on are. You won't be dissapointed.

Use slices of beef 1/4 " thick.
Marinade in dark ale, minced garlic, jalapino peppers, chopped onions and hot chili powder for 2 days. Then put in smoker, dryer or low temp. oven until done. I prefer the smoker with hickory chips.
