Late September Pike

I have been bassin almost all year but thinking I may try to find a few gators next time out...I am not real sure what areas to target this time of year, and with this cold blast we just got. I would assume the typical weedline spots but is there any other key areas they might look for this time of year? Close to deep water? Edge of big shallow areas? Sharp Break from shore into deep water without much weeds along shore? Take into consideration I would rather find 1 or 2 big fish than 10 snakes. And as far as presentation I would think bigger is better this time of year...what do you think about live bait fishing? Or would trolling be a better bet?

Thanks for any tips.
