Pressure Cooker

I have used a Pressure Cooker for years 30+ to can my garden crops. Have done meat at times, however, not venison, but I would advise all of you to check with your local county extension offices and I am quit sure they will tell you that the only SAFE way to can meat is to use a Pressure Cooker.

Husker do you know how to test the pressure gage on a pressure cooker I have a couple that havnt been used for years and I read they should be checked occasionally

I've taken mine to Sears (that's where I got the cooker years ago. They've tested the gage. Not sure they still do, its been 5-6 years.
