Training Dog collars

Gander Mountain in Lakeville has great prices on the old style Tri-Tronics dog collars right now. I just bought a Upland Special 1-dog with beeper for $220, they are normally $499.

Do you know much about the Tri Tronics? I have a 6 month old Golden Ret. I am starting to get into training wiht and will soon need a collar. I asked @ gander mtn here in Duluth to go over the differnece between models....I felt like i was talking to a brick wall!

Tri-Tronics makes a pretty good product as do many others.I had a Tri tronics unit and also a DT systems that worked just as well.

Usually the more the options the more it will do for you.

Some questions might be

1-Need for range control

2-do you want a beeper.

3-more than 1 dog etc.

I never had a problem with either unit and the DT is somewhat less spendy.
