I was wondering if anyone has used the Microsoft Streets and trips GPS reciever for a laptop? I was also wondering if I could load some lake mapping software on my laptop to use with the GPS receiver? Last question, I was wondering if I could get an underwater camera with a USB hookup for the laptop? Anyone using any of this stuff? The laptop would be able to run off a deepcycle pretty easily with a power inverter I would think. Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to run your laptop no problem with an inverter. There are many GPS and mapping software packages out there. I am not sure, and maybe someone else can answer too, I believe that there is an S-video hookup on both my laptop and my Aquavu Scout. I haven't tried it but you gave me a great idea. I think I'll check it out tomorrow.

If I use the S-video hookup do I still need software to get a picture on my screen or will it be a direct link to my monitor? Also could someone E-mail me the name of some good lake mapping software. [email protected]
