Mueske Posted October 23, 2003 Share Posted October 23, 2003 Sparetime,I asked my mom about this and got a response.She has a book on this, I assume from an outfit that sells canning supplies."..my book says to put it in hot sterilized jars and you can put 4 tablespoons of broth in it. 1/2 teaspoon of salt for a pint, 1 teaspoon for a quart. Put in canner for 75 mins. for a pint, 90 mins. for a quart, at 10 pounds pressure. I canned chicken breasts two weeks ago and I didn't put broth in my meat as it makes its own. I never add salt either. You can go online at look at Kerr or Ball canning books to learn more." My mom is better at cooking than explaining her methods.
