Although we're still ten or eleven weeks away, the hard water season is creeping up ever so fast!

The classic "fall-run" which is now slowly starting to develope will be a good indicator on how the hard water season pans out. If (like last fall) we see another strong showing of HAWG 'eyes during the open water fall run, the trend will be for the bite to remain hot throughout and including Demcember.

As it the case with most walleye fisheries, the action becomes sporadic during January and much of February.

March rolls around and "March Magic" kicks into to gear on Lake Winnipeg! During days in March, one hundred plus walleye days are possible and do occur, the chances of sticking some serious piggies is also a reality!

Currently I am putting in as much time as my schedule permits to map GPS ordinance. This effort should prove to be invaluable for the upcoming hard water season! wink.gif
