North metro smallies

Hey BassProJoe,

Their are some really great places to fish for smallies that are in the North Metro such as the Mississippi River and the St.Croix. If you want to drive a little Mille Lacs is phenomenal. Hope this helps.

The Crow and the Rum have a couple of smallies also.

just got back from the rum, went in at the anoka county fairgrounds. i got only 2 bites. my first hit a small jig and pig in a laydown. the seconds was a big fish that came up for the pop'r on the backside of a laydown, then i threw a small grub and swam it back, thats when he hit it again. a good 3 pounds. at least i didnt miss the fish.

WBL has smallmouth. I haven't caught very many (maybe 1 SM per 50 LM) but they sure are fun!
