Trail Camera Questions

How Close to a trail does everyone hang their Trail Cameras? I am new to this and plan to hang mine within the next few days.

I just purchased a Moultrie game watcher 2.1 from walmart for $98. Does anyone have any experience with this camera. Any tips on placement and use would be great. Also, does anyone know where to get a rechargeable 6V battery or have any other tips on extending battery life?

I have the cheaper Moultrie camera. It takes ok pictures but it has a slow shutter speed, about 4 seconds. You need to face it looking down the trail or over a salt block. Look at the recipe that BLB has posted. Definately go with the rechargeable batteries, it will eat up the regular ones in two weeks, even the Duracells!! I bought my rechargeables at Cabelas online. I have two batteries and two SD cards and just swap them out once a week. You'll also need an SD card reader. Look to hsolist for the cards and reader.

Its an ok camera, I'd buy another one.
