Guest
They cook fairly quickly, so you will need to watch them closely. Another problem is handling them---this usually depends on the size of the shrimp, and whether or not they are sticking to the grill. You will know when they are done by the appearance and texture of their flesh...it becomes firm and changes from translucent (raw) to opaque (white). If overcooked, they become tough and chewy.I find it best to marinate them, and oil the grill. If small, get a basket or "fish holder" from a grilling supply store, or place on aluminum foil directly on the grill.Do an on-line search for "shrimp on the grill" on a search engine such as google.com.They are delicious this way, but it is impt to avoid overcooking....you can always zap them briefly in the microwave if undercooked.Good eating! bry c
Take them out of the shell if you can, they will smell and taste like burnt paper and be a mess to peel. I like larger shrimp, like 16-20 ct. size for grilling, wrapped in bacon, then brush a little plumb sauce on 'em just before they are done.
