Places to hunt

I'm new to the area and have always fished the mighty Miss near Wabasha. My question is..Are there any spots to hunt with or without a boat near the Duluth area. Any lakes...ponds? I'm not asking to give me your honey hole just somewhere a guy can hunt without driving hundreds of miles. Thanks

I know the feeling...I am from down near La Crosse and always had places to hunt ducks and geese. I too am new to the area and clueless.

I think there is a place in or near Duluth called Angel Pool. I am not 100% sure exactally where its at. But if you ask around im sure some locals will be able to direct you to the area. Im pretty sure u wont need a boat but a dog would be a wise choice. Heard about this area from my uncle who has hunted it more than a few times.

You should be able to find plenty. When I went to school there; we just drove outside of town and there are plenty of public places to hunt. We went mostly towards the Twig area.
