Guest
I'm wondering if anyone has a good recipe for smoked ribs they'd be willing to share. Going to try out my new smoker this weekend. Thanks for any help.Good Luck,Rusty
slotfish
You bet I would.Good ribs are labor/time intensive, and this recipe is no different. Put a dry-rub on the ribs (I use marjoram, garlic and onion powder and paprika) smoke the ribs on low heat (apple-wood chips are phenominal) for about 3 hours. When the color has turned brown and little end pieces are cooked through, take them off the grill and generously rub with brown sugar before wrapping in foil and putting in the oven for about 1-1/2 hours at 300 degrees (use as a guideline and check for your desired tenderness). I have eaten them at this point with a dipping sauce and gotten rave reviews. However, the best way to finish them off is to slap them on a hot grill and char some bar-b-que sauce onto the meat. It may sound like alot of work but it's really not too bad once you get going. Good luck and good eatin'
Guest
Slotfish,Thank you for that recipe.... it sounds wonderful!!! Applewood chips are definately a good choice. Though I couldn't find them at Gander Mountain when I was there yesterday. I've had some wonderful chicken wings with applewood chips. Can't wait to try the ribs. Thanks again.Rusty
