best time to come back?

Recommended Posts

Well, since I was skunked (courageous northerns and bass notwithstanding) two weeks ago in all my trips to Tonka, Shamineau and Alexander, I'll have to come back. What would be the optimal week to be going after these beasts again before the end of the year? I can't let them off that easy...

Thanks!

Derek

I would suggest that people don't fish late in the fall...that late October to November period. There's no fish to be caught, they all hibernate.

As far as air temps in the 55 to 60 degree range? I would say late September to early October would generally see those kinds of temps. Once you get to mid October the weather can get to be pretty unpredictable. And if you aren't dressed to stay warm and prepared for wind, late fall can get pretty nasty.
