Yellow and Little Yellow info

Recommended Posts

Heading up to Yellow Lake this week for the first time. I'm looking for any info or advice I can get. Would like to target lm or sm bass, walleye and northern. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if this is any use to you...but years ago we used to go around the lake and fish directly under docks, pontoons, and trees....where the bass can get some shade. We'd catch some decent bass doing this....we used devil horses (top water) and also your basic plastic worm set up. We'd just keep moving around the shore line...being carefull not to spook the fish or get too close to the structure...try to get just close enough for a good cast. Seemed like you had to get "underneath" the structure...being alongside it was not good enough in most cases. Good luck...Yellow can be tough. Oh..the few walleyes I have caught were always in the main lake, out in front of where they do the water skips...where the yellow river runs into the Little Yellow lake...caught most at night casting raps from shore believe it or not.
