Even the ugly ones

Even the ugliest birds can make good photographic subjects. Most people (especially on this forum) would have no time for these birds, but since they were so plentiful yesterday I decided to photograph them. I went out to Waconia to do a little fishing, but the light was right, and the birds were everywhere, so I spent two hours photographing the Cormorants and the Herons.

You've made the ugly ones look great. But did you catch any fish.

Yeah,

I fished for about two hours before the light got right, and about two hours after that. It was slow, and the fish were in 9-14ft along weed edges.

You were shooting birds out on the island weren't you? I couldn't believe how many of them were out there! I hope you worked Kegs reef while you were there... I always hit that spot on Waconia.
