Katman
I've been on the minnesota, the mississippi, ditches and holes that I've known....and they're not there. The rivers are pretty darn low too. I've gotten nothing for the past week. Can anyone point me to anywhere that would revive me?
rushing
You just have to keep on keepin on! They are still around but the action for one reason or another has slowed down a bit like it tends to do every year. Friday night it took 6hrs before my first fish and last night it took almost 7hrs before my first fish. The bite has been really late for us down around Mankato. Ihateriversnags
Sorry to see that the action has gone down everywhere else like it has here. There is not a whole lot of action up this way and it's been that way for a while.

Papa Grump
I fished this past Friday and Monday night for 14 hours and had a couple of small ones up to the boat. I would assume that both channels and flats are in full spawn mode now and it will be a couple of weeks till the action picks up again. But then again just being out fishing is better than doing nothing..
Fish'n guy
The past few nights have been good for us, but a majority of the fish have been on the smaller side with the exception of a big channel cat. Time to chase walleyes around for a while I guess !! Keep at em though, A guy never knows when "ol miss piggy" wants to go for an evening stroll !!! rushing
Its slow but they are still biting. Its a matter of putting in the time. Everynight since last friday I have been out, which has been every night but monday, we have caught at least one fish. Last night we got three, 23lb,18lb,15lb just nothing over 25lbs for the past while. Tryin our luck again tonight!
Guest
Katman.. quit driving around and fish right in your back yard. Dont expect numbers, but there are a few biting. The bite has greatly improved in the last week from what I have been seeing. I think the flatheads are done spawning now with the numbers of big fish showing up.. channel cats have also become active chewing most everything in their path.We managed to lose all 3 of our flatheads tonight, one was definately a good fish. My kid caught 3 channels and missed a few more. This was fishing from 8-11.
Random guy
The rookie found em! (Most likely because I have no idea what I'm doing). Best way to explain it is to draw a picture. Red is 7' high rock piles Blue-10-15' water Dark Blue 25'-28' water Green- Pretty trees We got into them pretty good. Dinged four channel cats then switched to live bait at 8pm and put three Flatties (all small)in the boat by 9:30 then continued to wiff on fish until 10:30 when I ran out of bait. Only brought 12 swimmers. Won't make that mistake again.
Dan Thiem
Good post Jonny P. The pretty trees! But serious, the drawing thing is really a good idea.
Fish'n guy
I got 3 flatties last night and only 1 bit on a bullhead! I caught two of them on a 1/8 oz jig and a sassy shad fishing for walleyes !! Thats a first for me! Both were around 1# and then I got a 9lber on a bullhead later on. Also caught 2 white bass, 1 walleye, 1 northern, and a possible state record shortnose gar. We didn't know or think anything of it then until Joe looked in the regs book and saw the shortnose record is 4# 10oz and this one was well over 4 and a half pounds. Oh well My buddy was fishing just up from us and got an 18lber and a 40lber too.
catmaster1557
Went out last night for about 5 hours. I got skunked, but I brought a buddy with for his first catfishing excursion. I hooked him up with a 15 pound flatty, which I guess made it worth it becuase he kept thanking me for bringing him, he was pretty pumped and he's ready to go out again.
