As a "newbie" bass fisherman, I took a buddy out on Pokegama this weekend to teach me a few tricks on using plastics. He showed me how to set up and use tubes for smallies and all I can say is "Wow"! We caught many fish after going over the same spots with rattlin raps just before. You really get a feel for a quality spot when on the second pass you catch more fish than the first! Gonna work on work and Senkos next time. Gotta have all the skills for the right time and the right place.
