With the little chill in the air it is getting me thining about catching something with fins through a frozen sheet of ice instead of a boat... I have been thinking for a couple of years now of finally making my own fish house. I have never moved forward entirely with it. If I am going to put all that work in, I would like it to turn out as something I really find useful and easy to use. I want something that is fairly easy to move around, but still more like a permanent structure. I would like to be able to sleep a night in it if needed and when I say easy to move... I am talking about something that works like a boat trailer... I want to be able to pull it down the road... I want all this, but cannot afford the crazyness of these camper / home type ice houses ! I am not looking to move out, just want to be able to fish in it yet still not impossible to move around. Can anyone out there direct me into a direction in how I build something like this???
Need to get a good start on the ice season. Thanks Much...

Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe. I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho. Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there. About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.
It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway. Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work. You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water. When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
