Bow-mount troller transducer cable

kpj5br

Question

Well, I've searched and can't find a solution to this problem.

Like most of us, I have a bow-mount (in this case a 74lb Minn-Kota). I also have a Lowrance X-65 up there with the transducer on the trolling motor bottom, again typical setup here.

My irritation is with the lack of cable/wire management going from that transducer to the sonar unit.

I'm looking for a retractable device or coil device, or something so I don't have to wrap the slack cable around the sonar or find something else to do with it with the motor in the "up" position.

What have you guys done???

jon. i just leave enough cable out allow the unit to be in the water and resting on its' carrier. i tape the cable to the shaft; leaving enough so the head can rotate. tape it to the control cables down to just short of the foot control. the rest is under/in the empty area under where the locator is located, so there isn't much excess lying on the floor. del
