93 Polaris Storm Track...

Gissert

Question

  • 0

Does anyone know what size track goes on a 1993 Polaris Storm SKS? Like I said b4 just bought the sled at the end of the season last year and it is studded but I for one am a ditch/lake rider and do not like studs in the ditches for they tear them up. So I choose to replace the track. If anyone knows of anybody reasonable that works on sleds please let me know...

I'm with Gissert. You might like the studs. They really improve performance and safetly on hard packed trails, corners, etc.

Have you tried removing the studs?

You may be able to locate a snowmobile salvage place that you could swap tracks?? There's a few good places in the state that I have used.

I looked in my Kirk catalog and it's about $530 to replace the track on your sled. Add on labor costs, could add up.

Your track is 15"x136". It appears that almost all SKS and RMK models have this track and it's quite common.

Thank you Chuck for the size track..
No I have not tried to remove the studs from the way the track looks it would probably not be wise for me to choose that route..lol This was originally a drag sled and that track has seen much better days I think if I was to remove the studs I would probably weaken the track and end up sitting in the ditch waiting for my trailer to pick me up..lol
