horse shoe pit stakes

Anyone know where I can get solid 1 inch 36 inches long stake for my horse shoe pits. There was a metal's place off of 35E somewhere by the recycle place but I can not remember the name and location. And did not notice anything that stuck in my mind in questdex. any help would be great.

Does it have to be 1 inch per regulation or can it be close? Not sure of the diameter but I have some axles off of my old hot rod you can cut the flanges off.

Thanks. regulations say 1 inch. And witht he guys I play witht hey use any excuse they can if they lose. I did find some already. Thanks any way.
