After todays Silverado bass tourney this lake is a big hit with pros and ams.Check it out withyour favorite tournament fisherman and fishing women for details .After 9 years of regulations a group called Walleye focus helps to get lake reopened early and it turns out that it is now one of Minnesotas top 5 SMALLMOUTH BASS LAKES.NEW TALK IN TOWN IS [CASH THEM DONT SLASH THEM] smile.gif

Lifting those regulations is gonna ruin that lake..... that stupid walleye group didnt "help" anything. Its my personal opinion that its a crock and will do nothing but kill the big smallies in that lake... after 5 years the tournaments will stop because of the "walleye" fisherman killing all the smallies, so there beloved gravel carp will come back when in all reality the water conditions have changed considerably and the walleyes will not be found shallow like they were 10 years ago when the lake was a lot dirtier, light penbetration is the reason that the walleyes have moved deeper..... not smallies!!!!!!!!!!!

Bottom line is they will ruin one of the true trophy smallie lakes in this state to try and add another (to go with the 12000+) walleye lakes, sad really confused.gif

I really hope that bass fishing here lastsRiver Rat if you lived around Green and had to listen to all the BASS haters you would think that the conspiracy to eliminate them was really happenig. The forego Group Walleye Focus doesnt really have any plan set up to put extra Walleye in lake. This years two day tourny omly produced 62 fish.without plans to privatly aid walleye stocking in addition to DNR stocking will force a total shutdown of walleye keep in next two years ,much as RED LAKE>I amsaying that this so called territorial tribe with very few members have actually eliminated there own favorite fish and am very happy to see the walleye now be secondary and if it has to be let it.We have so many other lakes around here where they should be primary and enticed so we can enjoy green for the Northern pike, sunfish and bass.I really hope that BASS fishing here stays and that the regulations now revert to keeping the walleye out of the livewell so that the 13 people in town that keep every walleye they have ever caught can just move on.When the subject was disscussed and because they are an unorderly group the two legislatots and DNR head we actually had to see Troopers sherrifs etc, in senior citizen parking lot and in lobby entrance. The only time we ever see taht around town is on meth raids ,So whenit got out of hand we as people living here saw a real ugly side of people.LONG LIVE THE BASS cool.gif

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
