Vantage trolling motor

I installed a new,2006, 24 volt minnkota vantage trolling motor this spring on a Lund 1700 fisherman.My problem is the up and down drive motor doesn't work sometimes.When I pull and tug on the wires it will start working again.I went though all the splice connections and changed them to wire nuts but still seems to have the same problem.It seems to me to be in the unit itself.Has anyone else had this problem?I know its still under warranty but I doent want to be without motor waiting for Minnkota to fix it.I ordered it from Reeds at the sport show ,I live in Allbertville ,so bringing back to them isn't an option.It is a sweet unit when it works.

I am sure it will have to go to a Minkota service center and not back to Reed's. You could check their HSOforum and see where the closest one is to you. I have a 2005 Vantage and love it.
