Recently bought a Honda 15 horse 4- stroke and in the manual it stated that to keep the gas tank within 6 feet to insure proper gas flow. Well my old gas tank was ran via an extra long hose under the floor into the the deck up front.
That was an older Merc 2-stroke and ran it with no problems for twenty or so years without any problem. Would I have any problem using the same set-up with the 4-stroke? This is my first and I would like to get the tank although much smaller back up front just to get it out of the way and what little weight it brings. Thanks for any responses, Steve
