Alumacraft 175 cs TP livewell problems

NEANGLER

Question

Bought a used 2002 Alumacraft TP and the front livewell won't fill up. I had the valves open but the back livewell would only fill up. Can you fill both at the same time or can you only fill one at a time? Does the boat need to be moving? Any recommendations would be great - the pump is working but do not know if it maybe a vapor lock, run one live well at a time or what. Thanks for any insight.

Keep the front one open, and then slowy close the back valve. There should be a happy point where the back will fill, but there will be water also diverted to the front. If you fully close the valve to the back, and keep the front one open, then the front one should be filling up only.

At least that is how it works on my new Dominator.

They should both fill at the same time if the valves are open. Try the previous suggestions, mine was plugged with minnows once. You do not have to be under way to fill the live wells.
