Question for Bait Retailers or Wholesalers

I plan on picking up a brand new cooler tonight to use for minnows tomorrow. Should I do anything to the inside of it to prepare it for keeping minnows alive? Should I wash it with anything, or should the lake water that I will be dumping in and out condition it as I use it this weekend? I will be using a Minnow Mizer inside it. My $70 Frabill Aqua Life system zonked out on me after only using it for three months last summer. With that said and since it is no longer under warranty, I bought another Mizer because I know I can get a few years out of it. Are there any bait wholesalers or retailers who would chime it? I appreciate any pointers.
