Cooter
I'm always looking for suggestions to catch eyes on Shell. I've fished it numerous times, usually on opener or the week after. Have done well on smallies and pike, but has been disappointing on the wallies. Will be going up next weekend. Hoping we've been doing things right and its just been a matter of bad weather and post-spawn fish. Thanks.
Cooter
Well the walleye fishing on Shell was pretty decent. South bay is the place to be right now for anyone heading that way. Slip bobber/jig/or lindy rig with minnows or troll Shad Raps. Weeds are just starting to appear in 10' or so of water. Also a short but good morning bite early. A side note - there was a small bass tourney there Sun - I think 9 boats. Anyway, those boys brought some impressive bags in - the winning bag of 5 smallies weighed 17.4 lbs!!
