Battery charger recall

Guest

Question

If anyone has a Motorguide Max Pro II or Max Pro III battery charger and has not received notification of a recall, I would stop using it and call Mercury Marine. I learned of the recall by accident over the web. Apparently they overheat. Due to the fact that I bought my boat from a private party, I was never informed of this by mail. Anyways, I now have a brand new Dual Pro 30 watt two bank charger as a replacement. Check it out! I went through the Motor clinic in Bloomington. It only two days to get it. Good luck.

You can't go wrong with Dual Pro. One of the banks on mine went out on me this spring. I called them up and BAM!! a new one sent out ups that day. They also send a call tag so you don't have to pay to send it back.

Chris, what was wrong with your Dual Pro? I have the Ranger edition Dual Pro and one of my banks is acting up. One bank just blinks off and on and I doesn't matter which battery its on. Did you contact Dual Pro directly or through a dealer?
Thanks

Well, I called the number and explained the situation and they are sending me a new charger. Quick and painless. They will definitely be getting repeat business from me. Its too bad catching fish isn't that easy.
