styx
Spent the whole day on the lake with my son. Fishing was spotty but what a memorable day on the water with my 8yr old son. We caught a 4# bass that really got him excited. I am looking forward to many more years of sharing the boat with him. It's what fishing is really all about. cold one sd
My son and I spent Saturday on the lake with the new Lund 1800 Fisherman. We ended up with 2 smallies, 1 wally, and eight very nice crappies. He is 22 years old and still loves to fish with dad. I put his name on the title for the new boat, the new camper, and the pickup that pulls em. I think he will be enjoying the outdoors for a long time to come. deepportage01
The best times I have ever had fishing were with my Dad and Grandfather. If they had not taken me out so young and showed me the ropes I dont know ware I would be today. The bond when a father brings his son fishing is one of the strongest things around it makes a better man out of you.Oh and lets not forget the the feeling when you get your first real rod and reel combo[not the snoopy one]what a day that was. :shocked My hats off to all of you that are willing to show the ropes to the next generation

stmichael
My dad took us boys out fishing all the time when we were kids, (4 boys) shore fishing close to a bunch of trees...(I do not know how he survived..at the very least kept his sanity and he would always take us) Now we take him out in the boat as much as possible. I try to tell him how grateful I am to him for getting me started on the ol' Zebco I hate to guess, but, I think it was the 202.
SomethingFishy*
Great to here about all the Father/Child fishing. My father was never the type to take me fishing, and he never did. I was lucky enought to have a good uncle to take me. Now that I am older (25) I have a younger brother and sister 9 and 12, I have been trying to get them on the water as much as possible, my brother made the decision that he likes to target "big" fish. I think he will be hooked, his first time fishing was last year and he caught a small northern and a 3-4lb bass.
