Opener

All,

For those heading out on opener, please take time to be aware of other fisherman. Also, encourage each other to have a good time, follow regulations while keeping our streams and fellow land owners land clear of debris and dump!

If you don't have permission to access someone's property, take the time to ask or simply go somewhere else.

Thanks

Jim W

Good stuff Jim, thanks.

I hope everyone has a great time out there this weekend and stays safe. Watch out for some heavy rain late Saturday into Sunday morning, just in case you're camping streamside. smile.gif

To piggyback on what Jim mentioned... The DNR has a lot of money available to purchase easements, but the only thing stopping them from getting us more land to fish is whether or not the landowner wants to sell. When a landowner sees how well their neighbors land is treated, or doesn't have to chase after trespassers, they'll be more inclined to sell the DNR the easement. I'm sure we all want more water to fish. Just something to think about...

Regulations by stream or river are well posted at every access point and in between, so note the bright signs. The "Trout Fishing Opportunities in Southern Minnesota" book also make the regulations easy to see (and is a great map resource), along with this DNR HSOforum and this DNR site

Good luck out there this weekend! cool.gif
