Happy 55 to Bert!!!

I'm one of the lucky (older) ones who got to watch Bert in action on the mound. I don't know what I enjoy more, watching him pitch or listening to his straight up approach to the game.

Listening to him pick on Dick is pretty good humor too.

I agree, i love watching and listening to those two guys. I had a chance to sit down and watch both the Sox game and the braves game last night. Each one was so boering and i like baseball. But the approach to calling a game for both teams is so stail/stale. Thats all I have got.

Happy Birthday to Bert is right on. I do love listening to he & Dick, they do a great job. You don't have to be very old to remember watching him pitch. The '87 series was a little less than 19 years ago. I remember it pretty well myself, as I was in college at the time.

Yupper, can remember seeing him pitch at the Met when I went on a 5th & 6th grade school patrol trip our hometown VFW sponsored one year. What a nice way to reward us for our efforts.

Dirty Dick Bremer makes the perfect foil. The wit and wisdom Bert dispenses as a broadcaster is just as much fun as watching that nasty bender he used to throw. Happy 55th Birthday to the Dutchman!
