Ice Conditions For Bone Lake?

Does anyone know what the ice conditions are like on Bone Lake?

I would guess not good - a bud was on Upper Long(Spooner area)on Sat and reported about 9 inches of ice and slush. The shorelines were bad.

What do the river fed lakes around Eau Claire and Menomonie look like? Have they shed their ice?

Altoona is about 80% open - some ice left in a couple bays. Dells Pond is open except for for ice in shallow water out of the current. Lots of water coming through the rivers, they were 12 ft above normal and I'd guess its more now.

Bone is a no go!!! Most lakes around there are looking very dark. Ice is getting far from the edge. I did make it out on Monday, but had to use a plank to get out there. Last guy off the ice did fall in, just up to his knees as the ice gave way under the plank. Always a sad day when you have to put the ice fishing gear away..SB

Do you know if Bone Lake (PolkCounty) is wide open yet? I was thinking about taking the boat out

Not sure if its open yet or not. The lake that I live on is wide open only 10 miles away as of today. Headin out tonight to see if the panzies are still bitin..SB

Most lakes still have ice as of today. My guess is it will take a day or 2 for some, and might even take more for a couple.
