cannon falls catfish

does anybody know where to fish for cats in the cannon falls area. and what type of equpiment i would need.

Can't help you out with the Cannon Falls area. I haven't fished the river there.

I have heard that Byllesby has some cats in it. Been wanting to get over there and try for some cats for some time.

Byllesby has cats as stated above. I caught one a couple years ago fishing for walleyes on opener. The only time I fished the lake so im not much assistance. Real deep on the downstream end(im talkin 50ft+ i think), shallow on the upstream end. Boat launch is on the downstream side just above the dam.

I fished the Cannon River quite abit for a few years, just fished off the bottom with a crawler and picked up a numerous cats, suckers and carp, with a bonus eye'or smallie every once in a while. Biggest cat was about 10lbs, same with the suckers and carp. Fun river to fish, try to find a bend or a hole somewhere and you should do alright.
