transducers ????

Can anyone tell me if a skimmer transom mount ducer will work in a through hull app. if you surround it in silicone?

If not is there any shops that will trade a skimmer for a through hull? Thanks, Dean

Yeah they should work. The eagle Fishmark I just bought came with instructions for mounting the transducer to the hull. I think it involved using epoxy to secure the transducer to the hull. I know it said to use epoxy because there it was better at keeping out airbubbles.
